Why we wanted to raise the bar for impact

Over the years, we have already planted 1,348,411 trees and gained valuable experience along the way. At the same time, it became increasingly clear to us that responsibility is only truly credible when it is transparent and traceable. It is not enough to trust that something positive is happening. You also need to be able to show how that impact is created, how it is documented, and how progress can actually be measured.

That is exactly why we made the deliberate decision to change our tree planting partner. With veritree, we now work with a platform that not only enables reforestation, but also makes it structured, trackable, and verifiable. Every planting session is documented and monitored over time, so the impact does not remain vague. It becomes visible, measurable, and evidence based.

For us, this was the next logical step. We believe impact can only be communicated credibly when it can also be proven. That level of transparency creates the foundation for building long term, trustworthy impact together with our customers.

The project in Senegal brings environmental and social impact together

A key part of our partnership with veritree is a project in Senegal that goes far beyond planting individual trees. At its core, the project is about restoring entire landscapes and, in doing so, creating new opportunities for the people who live there.

Through innovative agroforestry methods, the project is restoring land impacted by decades of peanut monocropping: restoring soil health, biodiversity, and stabilizing incomes where farmers previously relied on a single payday to last throughout the year. This community-driven initiative also improves food security for the planters and their families, creating additional income opportunities and improving long-term economic resilience with each tree planted.

That is exactly what makes this project so meaningful to us. It shows that sustainability has the greatest impact when environmental responsibility and social development work hand in hand, strengthening not only nature, but also the livelihoods of the people who depend on it most directly. For us, sustainability means more than protecting the environment. It means helping shape the future, making positive change tangible, and contributing to something that creates impact beyond the present moment.

Our concrete commitment

Sustainability should not remain vague. It needs clarity and commitment. That is why we define our contribution in very concrete terms.

For every 1,000 printed parcel inserts, we plant one verified tree.

This is not a short term initiative for us. It is a fixed part of how we understand responsible marketing. With every campaign we run, the contribution to restoring ecosystems grows as well, making impact not only possible, but also scalable, measurable, and built for the long term.

What that means in practice becomes especially clear when looking at our goals for 2026. Behind this commitment are not just numbers, but real effects that can be felt both environmentally and socially. Our contribution goals correspond to an additional reforestation area equal to 1,839 tennis courts filled with trees, showing the scale reforestation can reach when it is approached with long term commitment and consistency. At the same time, it creates 2,400 workdays, providing direct income opportunities for local communities and showing that sustainability supports not only the environment, but also people’s everyday lives.

In addition, our trees are estimated to have a carbon sequestration potential of around 600 tonnes of CO₂ once they reach full maturity. This makes the environmental value of our commitment immediately tangible. At the same time, the agroforestry project we support in Senegal shows how ecological restoration can also generate social and economic impact. There, the share of farming families affected by acute food insecurity has fallen by 33 percent. This is made possible through agroforestry approaches that restore degraded land, strengthen agricultural resilience, and diversify both food and income sources. These projects create local jobs and open up new opportunities for people in the region.

This connection is exactly what makes responsible action meaningful to us. Impact has to be transparent, measurable, and capable of creating real change, both in people’s lives and in the stability of ecosystems.

Let’s scale impact together

Our goal is not to take this path alone, but to create impact together with our customers that goes beyond individual campaigns. Insert marketing creates physical reach, and that is exactly where the opportunity lies: to connect reach with responsibility and turn visibility into something that creates lasting value.

That is why we actively invite our customers to match our commitment by planting one additional tree for every 1,000 printed parcel inserts per campaign. Every additional tree increases the impact. Every campaign can become more than communication. And every shared commitment can help create measurable, visible change.

For us, sustainability is not an add on. It is a conscious decision, and it becomes even more powerful when it is carried forward together.

Let’s turn reach into real impact, together.
